Project Meeting in Espoo, Finland

After over two years of work, on 6th June 2022 the NEGEM team finally met in person at VTT in Espoo, Finland for the project meeting.

As the project is in full operation, interesting results are flowing in from the work packages on the different aspects of negative emission technologies, such as deployment potentials, life cycle assessments, deployment scenarios, business cases, socio-economic aspects and industrial initiatives.

By putting all these results together in an integrated framework, NEGEM aims to assess the realistic potential of Carbon Dioxide Removal and to create scalable pathways for the development of NETPs to contribute to climate neutrality.
